Ugh. I hate tax time. This year we each had one W-2, I had 2 student loan things, John had a student loan thing, and then there were forms from daycare, our mortgage company, and something else I don't quite remember. And then we itemized our prescription drug purchases (over $2000!) and a couple other things. We just said to heck with it and threw everything at an H&R Block accountant and asked her politely to deal with it. It cost over $200 but saved us a nervous breakdown. Kudos to you for doing your own taxes. Perhaps I can book your services for next year???

So, if I understand you correctly, you're removing more funds from Georgia's shrinking treasury and putting more money into Obama's???

Dude! We have to file taxes in Canada AND the US this year. And New York State, which is for some reason ten times more complicated than GA. What I'm getting around to saying is that when you're done with yours, feel free to come on over and do our taxes, too.
