Curtain Call
It’s been a decent run, I think. I started blogging about 18 months ago and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Unfortunately, work, grad school, and the proliferation of Facebook have all lead to the demise of my useless insights. So, when the lease on this place runs out at the beginning of next year, I think I’ll lock the doors and leave it behind.
Perhaps as I make a final tour around the place over the next month or two, I’ll drop some deep thoughts. Most likely, though, you’ll be off touring some other website when the lights are shut off. It’s OK. Folks don’t come around these parts much anymore. Well, let’s be honest, they didn’t come around much any in the first place. Instead of posting musings for my loyal readers, I’ll now resort to just telling her before bed each night. (Hey Kelley!).
Adios.

hey John,
Unrelated to this topic even though I will miss turning on my blog and seeing that you have posted something new to read while I try to ignore Van into playing by himself. The Wii Fit Plus has a marching band game. It’s not what you wanted with playing instruments but you do march to the beat and move the hands, more spastic drum major.

No!!! Don’t shut her down! You’ve got a great domain name and great discussion area…put it on pause for a bit and when the school is done, and you’ve retired at age 85, you can pick back up again!

We are not posting much either, but there are just some things better suited to a blog than facebook….

Yeah, I think you ought to keep it around, too. You can change it to the Shallow Thinker’s Occasional Blog or some such thing. Without a doubt you’ll think of something funny to write about the day after you shut it down.
Also, I’m selfish and want to read more stuff.
If you do shut your blog down, I’d be happy to have you as a guest blogger over on mine. I do get tired of it sometimes.
