We’ve all met them. They are the people that inspire your life, that breathe definition into your actions which previously seemed stagnant and dull. Their grand orations inspire the weary to rise up with passion and fight for their rights. Their soothing voice can calm the rioting crowd and cause violence to cease.

Picture that person in your mind. Now look a little bit behind them. See the guy picking his nose, the one that doesn’t know he’s on camera? That’s me. Welcome to the shallow end of the thought pool.

More personally, I am a nerd by trade (engineer) and by personality (have you met me?). I have an amazing wife who happens to be an insanely great writer. Someday she’s going to write a best-selling novel and we’ll live the life of luxury…until then we’ll have to make it on my wit and charm. We have two beautiful daughters. The oldest was born in late 2004 and the youngest was born in early 2007. They keep us on our toes and they keep me smiling.

I have an older brother and an older sister. My sister is a missionary in Africa, which is pretty amazing considering she has 3 kids, one of which is Godzilla.  My brother manages to sell a tractor or two when he’s not meeting with big clients on the golf course.
