Um....I don't know the best way to break this to you, Alana, so I'll come right out and say it. This page is almost 2 years old. I bought Omnivore's Dilemma and started into it, but never got out of Chapter 1. I remember it being interesting and I remember it talking about corn, but that's it. So....ummmm.....yeah. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. No offense, mind you, but I'm not really sure where that book is.

But, you have my word that once graduate school is over, I will find a much better excuse.

Omnivore's Dilemma is on the list?! That's great! I would also recommend Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Although that one gets a little, er, spiritualish at times. I'm thinking you might prefer Omnivore's Dilemma. But to make life interesting, Kelley could read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle at the same time. It would give you something to talk about. Nothing like a heated debate about the ethics of eating to put a little spark in the ol' marriage!

I also recommend The Devil's Cup. It's a political history of coffee and surprisingly fun to read.

These are all food related. I think I might be hungry.
